Astronaut Sarah Elliot dies on Mars as she gives birth to her son Gardner – the first human to be born on the red planet. As Gardner searches for clues about his father, he begins an online friendship with Tulsa, a girl in Colorado, and plans his first trip to Earth to meet his love and find his dad. Soon after landing, scientists discover that his organs cannot withstand Earth’s atmosphere and so starts a race against time as Gardner explore his new surroundings while unraveling the mysteries of his origin.
