It’s 1970s New York and the gritty Upper West Side neighbourhood known as Hell’s Kitchen is overrun with gangsters. When mob wives Kathy Brennan, Ruby O’Carrol and Claire Walsh suddenly find themselves husbandless after their significant others are sent to prison for a three-year stretch, they decide to take over from where the men left off. From hustling local businesses for protection money to contracting out various jobs, the trio become increasingly brazen in their quest for power and money.
