After making it over the Misty Mountains, the motley crew of adventurers containing dwarfs, a hobbit and of course the wizard Gandalf the Grey, journey on towards Erebor to reclaim the Dwarf city from the clutches of the Dragon, Smaug. Old enmities surface when they chance upon the Wood Elves in Mirkwood as they travellers embark on a race against time to get to the secret door leading to Erebor before it is shut for good. After Smaug claimed the city and all the gold hidden within, the travellers are more determined than ever to bring about his desolation.
