When college students Elliot, his girlfriend Sasha and his best friend John move into a creepy house off campus that has stood empty for years, they soon awaken an evil entity that has been dormant for decades. The legend of the Bye Bye Man dates back to 1969 when a grizzly mass murder rocks the neighbourhood where Elliot, Sasha and John find themselves. Now they must fight to keep the supernatural evil at bay while keeping its existence a secret.
