This film follows two American political consulting firms competing against one another to help their respective politician win the 2002 Bolivian presidential election. Candidate Pedro Castillo is partnered with the frantic and dedicated Jane Bodine as they use every trick in the book to defeat opposition Victor Rivera. Rivera has his own ace in the hole, however, as he gets in his corner Pat Candy, a brilliant consultant who has long had Jane’s number.
