After his planet is decimated, a baby Jor-El is sent from Krypton to earth where he crash lands on the farmlands of Jonathan and Martha. They raise him to be their own, and Clark as he is named, is guided by them to harness his powers and use them to protect earth and its inhabitants. When Krypton military leader General Zod invades Earth, it’s up to Superman to stop him from whiping out humanity as we know it.
