Skull Island is not a name you’d find on travel pamphlets. It is concealed within a ring of storm and has mostly remained untouched by the outside world, until in 1973 when a group of people invade its peace aboard military helicopters. Little do they know they have displeased the king, Kong, a 100-foot-tall gorilla. Swatting the helicopters like flies, the gargantuan primate drives the message home that this is his island.
