Harry is on vacation from Hogwarts when he receives a visit by house-elf Doby, who tell him not to return to the school as evil things are set to happen. This goes unheeded and as Harry, Ron and Hermione return for their second year at Hogwarts, they soon find themselves in the midst of mysterious ongoings. Students are turning up petrified, voices are coming from within the halls and bloody writings appear scrawled on the walls, announcing that the Chamber of Secrets has been opened. In finding out how and who opened it, Harry and gang uncover a whole host of dark secrets.
