In the wake of lethal weather gripping the planet in 2019, Dutch Boy, essentially a collection of climate-manipulating satellites, is launched into space. It performs flawlessly, saving millions on a regular basis. Three years down the road however, it begins to display erratic behaviour, causing deadly localised climates. Its chief designer, Jake Lawson – who had been dismissed for doing things his way – is reluctantly brought back on board. Even as he races to get to the bottom of the issue, Dutch Boy is priming itself to create an unrecoverable, global-level weather disaster called a geostorm!
