Events
AsiaReach Events (ARE) was formed in 1997 when the group was approached by Tourism Malaysia and the
Kuala Lumpur Tourist Association to organise a 'Florathon' for the Malaysian Flora Festival. This was followed by
Florathon '98 and Florathon '99.
In 1999, ARE organised a regular series of 'who's who' celebrity dinners for 'The Gourmet Club',
a then regular feature story in Vision KL designed to promote fine dining in Kuala Lumpur. This led
directly to the establishment of the 'The Kuala Lumpur Gourmet Festival', which later evolved into
the 'Malaysia International Gourmet Festival', winner of the prestigious PATA Gold Award for
Marketing in 2007. Other notable events include 'Epicure Malaysia', a comprehensive lifestyle
and food fair; and fashion and fine-dining extravaganza 'Style Rocks!'
